Consulting
Creative technology consulting for those pursuing community.
I can help you with
- choosing the right tools to solve your problem,
- building better processes,
- communicating on and offline,
- collaborating creatively,
- making sure projects are kicking along,
- and doing the IT chores that always need doing.
I also love helping communities make art that represents them. Through commissions, collaborative workshops, data art, or any other way you'd like.
Who Am I?
I'm Alexis Halverson, an artist and technologist with a passion for community and faith.
Helping people got me into information technology and making art taught me to code.
2016-2019
I handled IT and customer support for
- small businesses, non-profits and individuals while freelancing,
- a regional internet service provider in a call centre,
- an online gift card marketplace in a startup.
Exhibited my first public algorithmic installation "Mixing Pool" on the NSW South Coast.
2019-2022
I developed web and mobile software for
- a sports startup making game-day tools,
- a public broadcaster building out their identity and access system,
- and a national airline consulting on their payment system for frequent fliers.
2022-2023
I developed mobile and medical device software for a start up tackling epilepsy.
Exhibited my second public installation "Liturgy of the Mushroom at the End of the World" in Sydney.
2024-2025
I stepped up to manage the software engineering team balancing people, project and process.
2025-
I'm doing something a bit different now. If you have problems to solve and you're looking for a creative technologist who wants to get their hands dirty, I can help.
It doesn't matter how big or small the work, organisation or group if you've got community in mind we can work out pricing to suit.
